Twenty years ago families living with type 1 diabetes (T1D) across West Tennessee came together with a common purpose: create a local organization that would help educate, support, and fund research. Thanks to the early pioneers of JDRF many local families have been served and millions of dollars have been raised for research.Since that day 20 years ago, we have gathered annually as a community to share and hear life –changing, inspirational stories. The result has been more than $7 million donated for research aimed to cure, treat and prevent T1D. As we enter our third decade, we thank all of those who have shared their stories with us and given of themselves in the quest for a cure.
